For the past three years I have been writing as a technical writer, working mainly on operation and maintenance manuals and software utility manuals for flight simulators. About a year ago I decided to branch out and write on areas outside my normal comfort zone. I've discovered I really enjoyed it. I am trying to start a professional writing business, so that I can continue working on articles and website content for others.

My background is a mixed backgroud. I hold an Associates Degree in Journalism and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. I've worked in the science field for a few years before going back to my writing background, which makes me qualified to write with a technical lean.

Working as a technical writer in the environment I've been working in has given me a lot of insight into the styles and methods of writing and I like to pass on some of the information I've learned.

Aside from writing in a technical sense and in a general sense, I often find inspiration from my preschool aged son. His personality and temperment have inspired a couple of article ideas as well.
